Sharing emotions about the Ao Ba Ba past and present

On September 16, Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee organized a Cultural Exchange "Ao Ba Ba Past and Present - Emotions."

This is one of the events in the Ao Ba Ba - Hau Giang Festival series in 2023 with the theme "Promoting internal strength, seizing opportunities, arousing aspirations to build Hau Giang province to develop rapidly and sustainably" from September 29 to October 1 in Vi Thanh city, Hau Giang province.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, said that the Cultural Exchange "Ao Ba Ba Past and Present - Emotions" was organized to learn about the origin as well as collect beautiful images and interesting stories about Ao Ba Ba from the past to the present.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province hopes that delegates, especially researchers, writers, culturalists, designers, artists, and businessmen, will deeply analyze, discuss, and share memories and love for the Ao Ba Ba - a unique cultural image, as well as solutions to promote the Ao Ba Ba to the world.

Going back in history to the early Southern land, the Ao Ba Ba has become familiar to the people of the South. When mentioning Ao Ba Ba, people immediately think of the image of Southern women with their rustic, simple, and graceful beauty.

During the war, the Ao Ba Ba was associated with the image of young female volunteers carrying ammunition. The Ao Ba Ba, along with the tenacious female soldiers, wrote glorious pages of history for the nation in the cause of defending the Fatherland such as Ms. Nguyen Thi Dinh, Nguyen Thi Binh...
