Ao Ba Ba Festival - Hau Giang 2023 will take place from September 29 to October 1

The Ao Ba Ba Festival took place for 3 days (September 29 - October 1) in Vi Thanh city, Hau Giang province with many diverse activities such as art performances, fashion, music, cuisine, photo exhibitions, painting competitions, parades... imbued with traditional national values, the breath of Southern culture combined with other diverse activities.

According to the Organizing Committee, the highlight of the Festival is the art performance program about Ao Ba Ba, the exhibition of Ao Ba Ba photos from the past to the present, traditional Southern cuisine and Don Ca Tai Tu performances.

Through the organization of the Ao Ba Ba Festival - Hau Giang 2023, the provincial leaders hope that this cultural event will contribute to improving mental health, preserving and promoting cultural identity, developing a civilized and prosperous society, integrating traditional cultural beauty to attract domestic and foreign tourists and investors.

The Ao Ba Ba Festival has its own characteristics of Hau Giang because the fabric used to sew Ao Ba Ba is made from Cau Duc pineapple fibers. If in the past, the province only focused on exploiting the fruit, the large pineapple area (2,800 hectares) will be an abundant source of raw materials for weaving. This is a new potential of Hau Giang province in developing the agricultural economy.

It is expected that the Ao Ba Ba Festival will be maintained and organized annually by the province, thereby helping people understand more about the Ao Ba Ba as well as the land and people of Hau Giang in particular and the South in general.
