90-year-old couple remarries after nearly 50 years of divorce

Fay Gable (84 years old) and her husband Robert Wenrich (94 years old) held their second wedding in Denver on December 8.

The wedding was held in a cozy atmosphere with close family members. The guests were all witnesses to the love story for decades.

The couple also has four children, 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Robert's two stepchildren also attended the grand ceremony.

“They were like two teenagers in love. They did everything together,” youngest daughter Carol Smith told local media.

In 1950, Fay Gable and Robert Wenrich first met through a family introduction. Robert was Fay's brother's best friend.

Fay recalls Robert telling her brother that he would definitely marry her one day. This was the beginning of a deep, romantic relationship that would lead to marriage and lifelong friendship.

The two were first married in November 1951. The couple went through many ups and downs in life together and had many joys in marriage. Four children were also the result of their marriage during this period.

However, by 1975, Fay and Robert decided to divorce and go their separate ways for many personal reasons.

Throughout this time, Fay and Robert remained good friends. They regularly attended family gatherings together, laying the groundwork for their eventual reunion.

After that, both of them continued their new lives. Each remarried and was happy with their new partners, until those partners also gradually passed away.

The following years became a time for Fay and Robert to reflect on their lives and past relationships. The two grew closer and closer.

"My father said his mother was the first love of his life. He never thought he would be married to her again. And now that life was running out, he wasted no time and finally asked the woman he loved to marry him," Carol said.

Mr. Robert also believes that he and his wife will be very happy in the coming years.
