Cam Giang severely punished 3 male students for buying raw materials to produce firecrackers

At about 5:00 p.m. on December 19, 2023, the Working Group of the Cam Doai Commune Police (Cam Giang) was on patrol and discovered 3 students: D.MT, VPD (both born in 2007), NVT (born in 2008, both in Cam Doai Commune) holding some raw materials, suspected to be used to make firecrackers. The exhibits included 3 plastic bags containing white powder, 2 plastic bags containing yellow powder, and 9 rolls of paper tightly rolled into cylinders. The investigation agency determined that these were potassium chlorate, sodium benzoate and sulfur used to make firecrackers.

At the investigation agency, the three male students confessed that the group had pooled money to buy these materials on social networks to use as firecrackers to play during Tet.

Immediately afterwards, the Commune Police force drew up administrative violation records for 3 students for illegally transporting and storing fireworks, firecrackers, or raw materials and accessories for producing fireworks.

On January 4, the People's Committee of Cam Giang district decided to fine VPD and D.MT each 7.5 million VND; NVT issued a warning decision.
