Investors in the Truong My Lan case need to submit compensation requests before August 30.

On August 19, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City announced the time to receive requests for compensation for damages from bond investors in the case of Truong My Lan and accomplices.

Accordingly, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City is handling and resolving the first-instance criminal case file No. 531/2024/TLST-HS dated July 12, 2024 regarding the case of Truong My Lan and her accomplices being prosecuted by the Supreme People's Procuracy for the crimes of "fraudulent appropriation of property," "money laundering" and "illegal transportation of currency across the border" as prescribed in Articles 174, 324 and 189 of the Penal Code 2015 (amended and supplemented in 2017).

Regarding the act of "fraudulent appropriation of property," the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City continues to notify investors who purchased bonds of An Dong Investment Group Joint Stock Company (bond code ADC 2018.09; ADC 2018.09.1 ​​and ADC 2019.01); Sunny Word Investment Joint Stock Company (bond code SNW-2018.10); Quang Thuan Investment Joint Stock Company (bond code QT.2018.12.1) and Ho Chi Minh City Services and Trading Joint Stock Company (bond code SET.H2025), whose names are not on the list of bond owners attached to the investigation conclusion of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency and have not yet submitted a petition to the People's Court of the city, to continue submitting their petitions for consideration according to regulations.

The deadline for receiving applications is August 30, 2024. After this time, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City will not accept applications for compensation from bond owners of the 4 companies with the above bond codes. The rights of these individuals will be resolved through civil cases if the parties request in accordance with the provisions of law.
