According to the ministry, the six companies, including Tesla Korea, Ford Sales & Service Korea, Nissan Korea and Honda Korea, will voluntarily recall a total of 72,674 vehicles of 13 different models.

The reason Tesla Korea had to recall was due to a software error in the automatic control system of about 63,990 of its cars, including the Model Y. In addition, about 1,990 of its Model X cars were found to have a problem with the door locking system in case of a collision.

Meanwhile, about 2,400 Hyundai vehicles, including the G80 model, were found to have faulty components in the drive shaft to the rear wheels.

For Ford, the ministry said 2,156 of its Mustangs were found to be failing to issue timely warnings in the event of low brake fluid, while about 1,100 Nissan vehicles, including the Altima 2.0, were found to have problems with their rear-view cameras.

Additionally, 922 Kia Seltos compact sport utility vehicles were also recalled due to faulty components in the airbag system, while 49 Honda Odyssey minivans were found to have faulty engine components.
