The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct functional units to urgently develop and complete provincial-level environmental protection reports according to regulations and send them to the ministry before the 10th of the following month.
On December 25, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment said it had just sent a document to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, requesting them to urgently develop environmental protection reports to promptly assess environmental protection work nationwide in 2024.
According to the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020, provincial People's Committees, ministries and ministerial-level agencies must prepare reports on environmental protection work and send them to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment before February 15 every year.
However, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 1059/TTg-QHDP dated December 10, 2024 on preparing for the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment needs to complete the report on environmental protection work nationwide in 2024 and send it to the National Assembly Standing Committee no later than March 1, 2025.
Therefore, to ensure the progress and quality of environmental protection reports, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct functional units to urgently develop and complete provincial-level environmental protection reports according to regulations and send them to the Ministry before January 10, 2025.
