Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan attended the ceremony to welcome the new rural standards in Tam Ky commune (Kim Thanh).

On the morning of November 16, Tam Ky commune (Kim Thanh, Hai Duong) held a ceremony to receive the decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman recognizing the commune as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2022 and Tam Ky Primary School as meeting national standards level 2.

Comrade Dao Hong Lan, member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Health, is a native of the homeland and attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Minister Dao Hong Lan presented flowers and a painting with the bronze drum symbol to congratulate Tam Ky commune on its remarkable achievements in building new rural areas, improving and developing education and training.

After Tam Ky commune achieved new rural standards in 2017, the Party Committee, government and people of Tam Ky commune were determined, made efforts and joined hands to build an advanced new rural area. From the support of superiors, local budget and people, the commune mobilized nearly 479 billion VND to build an advanced new rural area. From this source of funding, the commune invested in building 2 irrigation works; poured concrete for more than 9 km of rural roads and main roads in the fields; invested in renovating and upgrading school facilities, central sports fields, commune offices, etc.

People are actively producing, doing business, and developing the economy. The rate of well-off households is increasing; the rate of poor households in 2024 is expected to decrease to only 0.9%. The Party Committee and the commune government always fulfill their tasks well.

The commune is interested in investing in Tam Ky Primary School to meet level 2 standards. Recently, Tam Ky Primary School has built a new 3-storey dormitory building with 15 rooms, a multi-purpose house, renovated the garden, lighting system... with a total cost of 17.4 billion VND.

100% of the staff and teachers meet the training and professional standards. 100% of teachers achieve excellent teaching at the school level; 57.1% of teachers achieve excellent teaching at the district level and 4.8% of teachers achieve excellent teaching at the provincial level. The rate of students completing the primary school program is 100%. The school's staff, teachers and employees have achieved the title of Advanced Laborer and have been awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the District People's Committee for many consecutive years.

On this occasion, the Steering Committee of the National Target Program for New Rural Development in Kim Thanh District supported 5 billion VND; the People's Committee of Kim Thanh District supported 100 million VND for the commune. This is the support money to encourage the locality to compete in building advanced new rural areas, Tam Ky Primary School meets level 2 standards.

At the ceremony, 3 groups and 5 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Kim Thanh district for their outstanding achievements in building advanced new rural areas.
