On the afternoon of July 4, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Tay Giang District Police (Quang Nam Province) for their bravery in jumping into floodwaters to rescue people.

Previously, at 4:45 p.m. on July 3, immediately after receiving a report from local people about a man trapped in the middle of the A Vuong River (through A Tieng Commune, Tay Giang District), with strong flood water and difficult terrain, with a proactive and selfless spirit, the Tay Giang District Police and A Tieng Commune Police quickly approached the scene and mobilized rescue vehicles immediately.

Among them, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Sy, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Private A Lang Phuc - a conscript, Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Team, braved the danger and rushed into the floodwaters to promptly and safely rescue the victims.

"The above actions demonstrate a high spirit and responsibility towards the Party, State and people, bravery, not afraid of difficulties, and readiness to sacrifice oneself to carry out tasks when people are in trouble, clearly demonstrating the spirit of "when people need, when people are in trouble, there is the police", Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang stated in the letter.
