Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee sent a letter praising the major for bravely saving people

Major Hoang Huu Binh - the brave man who saved the lives of two children who fell into a water hole.

The letter stated: “I highly appreciate the brave and responsible actions of Major Hoang Huu Binh; this is truly a shining example of the spirit of chivalry, deeply imbued with the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people, and at the same time creates a strong spread of the image of the people's police soldier "Forgetting himself for the country, serving the people", very worthy of praise, commendation, and needs to be widely replicated throughout the armed forces in particular and in the community in general".

It is known that on April 24, 2022, as soon as he discovered the children falling into a deep water hole in the drainage system construction area in Le Thanh Nghi residential area, Hai Tan ward, Hai Duong city, Major Hoang Huu Binh promptly jumped into the deep water hole to bring the two children to shore; actively provided first aid on the spot and supported them so that their lives were not in danger. “Through this incident, I request that the relevant departments, agencies, and localities continue to closely manage and ensure absolute safety in construction areas located in residential areas; strengthen guidance, recommendations, and training for each person, each family, and school about the risks of drowning for children, the necessary skills to prevent, avoid, and how to handle unfortunate accidents that may occur as summer approaches; help people have a safe and happy life” - the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requested.

On April 29, Major General Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Minister of Public Security also sent a letter of commendation to Major Hoang Huu Binh - Deputy Chief of Staff, Hai Duong Provincial Police for his brave action, regardless of danger, in saving the lives of two drowning children.

The content of the letter of commendation stated: “The leaders of the Ministry of Public Security were informed: At about 5:30 p.m. on April 24, 2022, Major Hoang Huu Binh, Deputy Chief of Staff, Hai Duong Provincial Police, on his way home from work, passing through Le Thanh Nghi residential area, Hai Tan ward, Hai Duong city, Hai Duong province, heard cries for help from a drowning person in an area where a drainage system was being constructed. Comrade Binh immediately jumped into the deep water hole and brought two children to shore in a state of immobility, respiratory arrest, and life-threatening conditions; at the same time, he actively provided first aid to the drowning victims, helped the two children regain consciousness, and took them to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The brave action of Major Hoang Huu Binh helped the families of the two children avoid pain and loss; at the same time, it demonstrated the spirit of mutual love and support, representing the image and qualities of the People's Public Security officers and soldiers who, regardless of difficulties and dangers, are always ready to protect the lives of the people, for the peaceful and happy life of the people; contributing to encouraging and setting an example for the masses to participate in doing many good deeds, maintaining security and order.
