President sends letter praising To Vu Dong for bravely saving people

In the letter, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his emotion when he learned that at around 7:40 p.m. on November 16, upon hearing the news of a drowning person at An Cuu Bridge, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province, Mr. To Vu Dong immediately jumped into the deep river to approach and bring the victim safely to shore.

Mr. Dong's noble, humane and responsible act has contributed to embellishing the fine tradition of the Vietnamese people, kind, brave, ready to sacrifice for their compatriots, for a just cause. The image of Mr. Dong's bright smile after successfully saving a person is the smile of youth, the happiness of having made an effort to do a good and meaningful thing for the community.

The President praised and commended To Vu Dong; he believes that his brave actions will continue to spread, becoming an inspiration for more stories about kindness and responsibility to the community and society.
