The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) noted that departments of education and training should strengthen their direction in innovating teaching methods, innovating regular and periodic testing and assessment in general schools in the direction of competency assessment.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Document No. 5259/BGDĐT-QLCL guiding the implementation of quality management tasks for the 2023-2024 school year.
Accordingly, the Ministry noted that the Departments of Education and Training should strengthen the direction of innovation in teaching methods, innovation in regular and periodic testing and assessment in high schools in the direction of capacity assessment, ensuring consistency and contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of organizing the High School Graduation Exam.
In addition, promote educational communication to raise awareness among officials, teachers, students, trainees and the whole society about the 2024 High School Graduation Exam and the Plan to organize the High School Graduation Exam from 2025.
The Ministry of Education and Training emphasized the preparation and good organization of the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in the direction of maintaining stability basically as in 2023 and requested departments to prepare early and fully the conditions to organize the 2024 High School Graduation Exam well, develop plans to ensure security, safety and contingency to handle risks that may occur during the exam organization, especially to respond to complicated developments of natural disasters and epidemics (if any) and at the same time promote good preparation of conditions to implement the High School Graduation Exam Plan from 2025 right in the 2023-2024 school year.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires strengthening training and building a team of examiners, while selecting and organizing training for teachers to develop exam questions and exam papers in accordance with the 2018 General Education Program, doing a good job of selecting and preparing personnel for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam; strengthening the dissemination of exam regulations; improving the quality of professional training for all subjects and forces participating in organizing the exam; especially focusing on training professional skills for officers performing inspection duties.
Regarding national competitions for excellent students, regional and international Olympic competitions, the Ministry of Education and Training requires continuing to implement solutions to improve the quality of teaching, training, and competitions for excellent students; effectively organize national competitions for excellent students, regional and international Olympic competitions; develop and deploy contingency plans to adapt to complex developments of natural disasters and epidemics (if any).
Regarding the work of ensuring and assessing the quality of education, the units continue to effectively implement the work of assessing the quality of education for preschool, general education, and continuing education institutions and recognizing schools that meet national standards for preschool and general education institutions to improve the quality of education.
The management of certificates ensures unity and aims at international integration. In particular, units need to focus on managing the conditions to ensure quality for the examination and issuance of certificates of educational institutions; have effective measures to overcome the situation of counterfeiting certificates and buying and selling certificates; strengthen the management of the organization of foreign language proficiency certification exams in the area; strengthen inspection and examination to promptly detect and correct shortcomings and promptly prevent violations.
