Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital in collaboration with 108 Military Central Hospital deployed mechanical thrombolysis technique to treat patients with cerebral infarction.
Hai Duong General Hospital is implementing mechanical thrombolysis for patients with cerebral infarction. This is a difficult and complicated technique in stroke treatment intervention.
From 7am to 8pm every day, doctors from the 108 Central Military Hospital work at the Provincial General Hospital, directly supporting the implementation of thrombectomy when indicated by patients.
Cerebral infarction is a common form of stroke, accounting for 75 - 80% of patients. Thrombectomy is an endovascular intervention technique, inserting a device into the blocked part of the cerebral artery to reopen the blood vessel. This technique is effectively applied within 12 hours from the time of onset of the disease, the sooner the patient is treated, the less sequelae.
Since the beginning of February, the Stroke Department (Hai Duong General Hospital) has received 3-5 patients for treatment each day. Previously, there were only 1-2 patients per day. Stroke tends to increase and become younger due to increasing average life expectancy and unusual weather changes. In addition, it is also due to the control of underlying diseases and unscientific and unreasonable diet.
