Doctors perform liver tumor embolization on DSA digital angiography system

Mr. T. came to the Provincial General Hospital for examination and discovered a malignant right liver tumor, measuring 7x6cm, rich in blood vessels. On October 27, doctors performed liver tumor embolization on the DSA digital angiography system for Mr. T. and it was successful.

Dr. Le Huy Hoang, Head of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging (Provincial General Hospital) said that post-interventional arterial embolization is the most optimal method for patients with late-stage malignant tumors. This method does not require surgery, does not cause bleeding, does not require anesthesia, does not leave complications, and prolongs the patient's life.

Doctor Le Thanh Dung, Head of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging (Viet Duc Friendship Hospital) directed the team of doctors from the Provincial General Hospital to perform liver tumor embolization.

Deploying this method at the provincial level also facilitates patients to avoid having to go to other hospitals, reducing costs.
