Tuyen Quang Newspaper celebrates 60 years of publishing its first issue

Tuyen Quang Newspaper was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Prime Minister on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of publishing the first issue.

On the morning of February 22, in Tuyen Quang City, Tuyen Quang Newspaper solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of publishing its first issue (February 3, 1965 - February 3, 2025).

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, along with leaders and former leaders of Tuyen Quang province and leaders of local Party newspaper agencies attended the ceremony.

On February 3, 1965, Tuyen Quang Newspaper published its first issue. This was a milestone that opened the 60-year journey of building and developing the newspaper. Over the years, Tuyen Quang Newspaper has strived, constantly improved, and built the newspaper to develop more and more; excellently performed all assigned tasks, and made worthy contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the homeland and country through the ages.

In response to the practical requirements of the country's development and integration and the 4.0 industrial revolution, Tuyen Quang Newspaper has proactively taken a shortcut to information technology, modernizing the journalism process. The newspaper has changed from editorial management to content production with the goal of building the newspaper into a multimedia press agency, publishing on multiple platforms, and operating a converged editorial office.

From a black and white, 4-page, small-format newspaper published only once a week, up to now, Tuyen Quang Newspaper has built many new press products. Of which, the printed newspaper has 3 publications: regular printed newspaper, weekend newspaper, news, photos of Tuyen Quang highlands, distributed from 4,000 to 6,000 copies/issue. Tuyen Quang electronic newspaper has developed strongly with many attractive columns.

With the motto "wherever readers are, Tuyen Quang Newspaper is there", in addition to publishing newspapers in traditional ways, Tuyen Quang Newspaper promotes publishing on social networking platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Zalo...

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association acknowledged, congratulated and highly appreciated the achievements and important contributions of Tuyen Quang Newspaper in the past time, actively contributing to the overall development of the Party newspaper system nationwide.

Faced with opportunities and challenges, Tuyen Quang Newspaper needs to continue to innovate to affirm its position. Compete with the press nationwide in digital transformation to catch up with the development trend of modern journalism. In particular, focus on building works and types of journalism in the direction of multimedia, meeting all requirements of the task.

Continue to innovate and further improve the quality of publications; increase the application of modern journalism methods, new journalism technology, attractive and well-oriented information; proactively reach out to readers in many ways to expand the readership.

Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Ha Thi Nga requested Tuyen Quang Newspaper to continue to closely follow the Party's policies and resolutions, and the province's political tasks to do a good job of information and propaganda. Timely detect, propagate, encourage and praise good people, good deeds, exemplary groups and individuals. Fight against false arguments, corrupt, negative and wasteful behaviors.
