According to medical experts, if in the past, people aged 50 and over were at risk of high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, stroke..., now these diseases have appeared in people aged 30-40, even in cases under 30 years old.

Cardiovascular diseases that develop silently are known as "silent killers."

The silent progression is what makes the disease so dangerous.

Cardiovascular and metabolic diseases are one of the complex groups of diseases with high prevalence in the community.

The disease often leaves serious sequelae, reducing the patient's quality of life, causing a burden on the family and society.

Doctors have received many cases of myocardial infarction in people under 40 years old.

Regarding the causes contributing to the increase in cardiovascular disease, according to experts, there are many factors, including globalization and urbanization, environmental changes as factors that increase unhealthy lifestyles such as smoking, alcohol abuse, unhealthy diet, and lack of physical activity. These are risk factors for the development of cardiovascular disease.

In addition, stressful work and mental stress also increase this disease.

Need to adjust unhealthy lifestyle

According to experts, signs of cardiovascular disease often appear transiently and are unclear, causing patients to ignore them until severe symptoms appear. This is accompanied by an economic burden when the disease becomes complicated, requiring more expensive treatment regimens, surgical methods, and interventional procedures.

Medical experts also affirm that cardiovascular disease can be prevented, and intervention can be made to reduce the risk and severity of the disease by raising people's awareness of adjusting unhealthy lifestyles such as quitting smoking, eating a healthy diet, increasing physical exercise, and not abusing alcohol.

In addition, people with cardiovascular disease or at high risk of cardiovascular disease (when there are risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, lipid disorders) need to be assessed early and take preventive measures and use appropriate medications.

Symptoms for people to recognize cardiovascular disease include: Difficulty breathing, especially when lying down, when taking deep breaths, feeling like something heavy is pressing on the chest; heaviness, tightness in the chest, the patient feels chest pain in the area below the sternum, the pain lasts about 10 minutes and often recurs.

Along with that, poor ability to exert oneself such as shortness of breath, fatigue after doing any activity and frequent occurrence of this condition is a typical symptom of heart disease.

People with heart disease may also experience blurred vision, dizziness or loss of balance for a moment because the heart is not strong enough to pump blood to the organs; cough for a long time (most cases of chronic cough are related to respiratory diseases).

As soon as the above signs appear, people need to go to the doctor early for timely diagnosis and treatment.
