Digital transformation is an inevitable requirement, a global trend, a strong “flow” in all areas of social life. In that “flow”, the press does not stand on the sidelines. In recent years, the press in general and local Party newspapers in particular have joined in and achieved certain achievements.

At the workshop, representatives of Party newspapers in the Northern midland and mountainous provinces shared initial achievements in implementing the digital transformation of journalism. Currently, many agencies have used AI artificial intelligence, Chat GPT software with huge data warehouses to create and improve the quality of new journalism products. Up to now, most press agencies have deployed new journalism products such as: emagazine, podcast, graphics... Promoting the release of journalism products on digital platforms and social networks such as: Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Zalo... creates a strong spread, affirming the position of local Party newspapers in the hearts of readers.

However, that roadmap still has many difficulties and challenges, the main ones being that the technological infrastructure does not meet the requirements; it is difficult to recruit high-quality technological human resources; there are problems with policies and mechanisms...

From there, press agencies focus on analyzing and providing solutions and directions to promote digital transformation in the field of journalism in accordance with the capacity, operational practices and development strategies of each locality.
