'Immortal Epic' recreates the heroic atmosphere of the Quang Tri battlefield

Art program"Immortal epic"will take place from 8:10 p.m. on August 11, and will be broadcast live at two locations: Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Special Historical Relic Site and Thach Han River flower lantern release wharf (Quang Tri province).

This event is part of a series of activities to show gratitude and repay kindness in 2024 and to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam (1954-2024).

This is an annual event chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with localities, to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and people with revolutionary contributions who sacrificed and contributed to the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.

Continuing the success of previous years, the program"Immortal epic"2024 is one of the special and meaningful activities within the framework of the "Peace Wish" Program of the 2024 Peace Festival held for the first time in Quang Tri province.

Providing information to the press on August 7, the Organizing Committee said that the program will feature performances by famous singers and artists: People's Artist Quang Tho, artist Thanh Thanh Hien, singers Tung Duong, Anh Tho, Trong Tan, Dang Duong, Duong Hoang Yen, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Viet Danh, OPlus Group..., veterans, children with immortal revolutionary songs resounding in the night of the ancient citadel, reviving the difficult and heroic years of the nation.

The content of the program combines traditional artistic colors with modern stage techniques, design, and staging, ensuring both political and artistic values ​​with 3 chapters: "Forever Twenty"; "Writing a Legend"; "Forever the Military March".

Chapter 1 opens with a report"Put down your pen and go to war"re-enacting the historical period with the country's elite youth at the age of eighteen and twenty who put aside their dreams and ambitions, put down their pens and left the university to follow the sacred call of the Fatherland.

They enlisted in the army, fought in fierce battlefields, "death coordinates", in which many of the country's elite and talented people sacrificed their lives in the 81-day and night campaign to protect Quang Tri Citadel in 1972.

This chapter has the following sections: Scenes“The Fatherland Calls - Legend of the Land of Fire”, “The Green Grass of the Ancient Citadel - Lullaby of the Green Grass”,reportage"Wartime Letters",show“Spring-Far Away”.

Chapter 2 is the story of mothers who sent their children off to war with so many feelings to entrust, and also of mothers who cared for their soldiers when they were sick and thirsty on the march. The soldiers left with their mothers' love in the rear.

This chapter includes the following works:“July is back”, “Silent footsteps”, “Fatherland in Truong Sa”,Symphony"The sacred river".

Chapter 3 is the emotion of today, of Quang Tri in particular, Vietnam in general is growing strongly in all fields, becoming a symbol of noble human values, conscience and world peace, expressed through works.“You are the belief in victory”, “We proudly go up, oh Vietnam”, “There is a head of silver hair”, “Vietnam”, “The Party flag”.
