The group stage matches of the Vietnam team at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho have almost sold out all tickets.
Tickets for Vietnam's group stage matches are priced at VND300,000, VND200,000 and VND100,000. According to an announcement from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), all tickets for the match between Vietnam and Indonesia on December 15 were sold out after only two days of going on sale on various platforms.
Today, December 6, VFF continues to open ticket sales for the Vietnam - Myanmar match on December 21. After only 5 hours, the 300,000 VND tickets were sold out. The 200,000 VND and 100,000 VND denominations are only in small quantities.
If Vietnam reaches the semi-finals and finals, these matches will take place at My Dinh Stadium. Ticket prices are also higher than in the group stage.
Viet Tri Stadium has a capacity of 20,000 seats, located in the Phu Tho Sports Complex, has been invested 44 billion VND for repair and upgrade to serve the 31st SEA Games. The stadium has never welcomed the National Team to compete, but has hosted U22 level matches at the SEA Games, the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers and most recently the 2025 U17 Asian qualifiers.
The Vietnamese team arrived at Wattay Airport in the capital Vientiane this afternoon. The team cleared immigration quickly and then left to the welcome of Vietnamese fans in Laos. In addition to coach Kim Sang-sik and captain Quang Hai receiving flowers, naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son was also surrounded by fans, given flowers, gifts and asked to take photos. Son said he would try his best and speak fluent Vietnamese such as: "Come on", "Vietnam wins".

In Laos, the Vietnamese team is stationed at Muong Thanh Hotel. At 4 p.m., the whole team goes to the field for their first practice session.
The AFF Cup will be renamed the ASEAN Cup from 2024, and will be held from December 8, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The 10 teams will be divided into two groups, playing two home and two away matches, with the top two teams and the second-placed teams advancing to the semi-finals. From this round, the matches will be played in two legs, home and away, but the away goals rule will not be taken into account.
