Setting the time to organize the 10th Sports Congress at commune, district and Hai Duong province levels

The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has issued a plan to organize the 10th Sports Congress at commune, district and Hai Duong province levels in 2025-2026.

Accordingly, the 10th Commune-level Sports Congress will be held from February to August 2025, with at least 5 sports, of which 1 sport for the elderly is required. The Provincial Sports Congress Steering Committee will select 1 commune-level unit to organize the model congress.

District and sector level Sports Congresses (police, army) will take place from September to December 2025, with at least 10 sports or more, such as: athletics, swimming, 7-a-side men's football, table tennis, volleyball, volleyball, badminton, traditional martial arts. The police and army sectors will organize at least 5 sports or more. The Steering Committee will select 1 district-level unit (expected to be Kinh Mon town) to organize a model congress.

The 10th Hai Duong Provincial Sports Festival will feature 18 events, taking place from December 2025 to July 2026 and divided into 2 phases.

After the congress, athletes will be selected to compete at the 10th National Sports Festival.

The 9th Hai Duong Provincial Sports Festival in 2021 was held in 2022 due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. After this festival, the Hai Duong sports industry sent 55 domestic and foreign coaches and experts and 240 athletes to participate in 19 sports, winning 68 medals of all kinds, breaking 3 national records, ranking 11th out of 65 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide. This is the first time after 33 years of organizing the National Sports Festival that Hai Duong sports has been knocked out of the top 10 provinces, cities and sectors with the best sports movements.

At the 10th National Sports Festival, Hai Duong strives to return to the top 10, winning 25-26 gold medals, 28 silver medals, and 33 bronze medals.
