37 students entered the regional and international Olympic team

According to this decision, the international math Olympiad team consists of 6 students; the international chemistry and biology teams each have 4 students.

Regarding the Asian Physics Olympiad team and the Asia-Pacific Informatics team, the ministry announced the lists of 8 and 15 students respectively.

Thus, the 37 students mentioned above come from 3 specialized universities: including Natural Science specialized schools, Pedagogical University specialized schools, Gifted High Schools; 14 high schools in 12 localities (Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Dak Nong, Binh Dinh, Phu Tho). Of which, Hanoi and Ha Tinh have 2 high schools with students entering the team.

By school, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (Hanoi National University) has the most students on the team with 10 students.

The Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad team has 1 student from the Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University). This is also the only team with a representative from the South.

The 37 students mentioned above are students who achieved high scores in the national excellent student exams in math, physics, chemistry, biology, and information technology and they participated in the selection exam for the international and Asian Olympic teams that took place from March 26 to 28.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, these 37 students are exempted from the high school graduation exam and will be admitted directly to university with majors corresponding to the competitive exam subjects.
