Compared to previous years, the number of players participating in the Primary and Secondary School Chess Tournament in Thanh Ha district (Hai Duong) is larger and they compete better.
On November 15, Thanh Ha district organized the Primary and Secondary School Chess Tournament for the 2024-2025 school year.
The tournament had 310 players from 41 primary and secondary schools in the district. Of which, 149 were from secondary schools and 161 were from primary schools.
The players compete in 4 categories: middle school boys and girls and primary school boys and girls. The players compete in the rapid chess format, Swiss system, 7 rounds, each round lasts 15 minutes. This is an annual tournament.
As a result, the organizing committee awarded 18 first prizes, 18 second prizes, 36 third prizes, and 44 consolation prizes in various categories to the players; the first prize for the entire delegation went to Chu Van An Secondary School and Thanh Ha Town Primary School, and the second prize for the entire delegation went to Hong Lac Primary and Secondary School.
Compared to previous years, the number of players participating in the competition is about 20 more, the quality of the competition is better.
