3 rounds of thinking assessment tests in Hai Duong

In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will organize 3 rounds of thinking assessment exams at Sao Do University in Chi Linh City (Hai Duong).

This is the second year that Hanoi University of Science and Technology has organized the thinking assessment exam in Hai Duong, creating favorable conditions for candidates in the province to not have to go to other provinces to take the exam, saving time and money. Sao Do University is the only location in Hai Duong that Hanoi University of Science and Technology has set up to organize this exam.

Accordingly, the first round took place from January 18-19 with nearly 500 candidates registering for the exam. Candidates paid the exam fee of VND500,000/person/exam, an increase of VND50,000 compared to last year.

Phase 2 takes place from March 8-9, candidates register from February 1-6. Phase 3 takes place from April 26-27, candidates register from April 1-6.

Candidates will take the test in 150 minutes for 3 test contents: mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes) and scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes) with the test format being completely multiple choice on the computer. These are 3 independent test parts, the test questions will focus on assessing the candidate's thinking ability, not testing knowledge of any subject.

Total score 100. In 2024, the average score of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test was 53.1. The percentage of candidates scoring above 70 points was nearly 9%. Only 20 students scored above 90. The valedictorian scored 96.43 points.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology's benchmark score based on the thinking assessment test score is from 50.29-83.82.

Candidates will be granted a certificate of exam results. The exam results are valid for 2 years for candidates to use for admission to universities nationwide in need.

Currently, more than 50 higher education institutions use the results of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test for admission.
