The image spread on Facebook has caused a stir in public opinion. Many people commented that such a meal is of poor quality and does not ensure nutrition for students to eat and study.

After the images were posted on Facebook, the Nghi Loc District Department of Education and Training sent staff to the school to inspect.

Nghi Thai Primary School has also sent a report to Nghi Thai Commune Party Committee about this incident. Specifically, the image posted on social media occurred in class 5B of Nghi Thai Primary School at noon on Thursday, October 19.

Sau sự việc, phía nhà trường đã có báo cáo sự việc lên cơ quan chức năng. Nhà trường cho biết thực đơn ăn từng bữa đã được niêm yết, công khai tại trường.

After the incident, the school reported the incident to the authorities. The school said that the meal menu has been posted and made public at the school.

According to the report of Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh (teacher on duty for class 5B), at noon on October 19, when she finished dividing the food for the children, some students had almost finished eating when a parent asked to come into the classroom to bring milk for their children twice. After that, some images appeared on Facebook.

From the report of teacher Nguyen Thi Minh, Nghi Thai Primary School determined that the above images were not taken from the beginning when the food was divided into sufficient portions. The photos were taken after the students had eaten, some students had almost finished eating, so they did not accurately reflect the students' food portions as measured according to the menu.

“The school affirms that the students’ meals are guaranteed to be according to the menu, of guaranteed quality and changed daily. However, shortcomings in the service of teachers on duty need to be promptly addressed.

The school's board of directors has seriously reviewed the teachers on duty and promptly corrected shortcomings to improve boarding services in the school," the report stated.

According to the posted menu of Nghi Thai Primary School, the students' meal on October 19 included: white rice, minced chicken soup with shallots, tofu with tomato sauce, vermicelli soup with chicken broth, and stir-fried cabbage with pork. The school has 917 students, of which 638 are registered for boarding meals.

Regarding this incident, Mr. Nguyen Van Thong - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Nghi Loc district commented that it is possible that the students had eaten salty food before, which is why such images appeared on Facebook.

“Yesterday, the Department of Education came down to inspect and asked the school to review the entire process. The image happened in class 5B, Nghi Thai Primary School. But the reflection that the food was cut is not true. The food that day was on the 17,000 menu, ensuring correct and sufficient food.

Samples of meals are kept at the school, and the menu for each meal is publicly posted at the school. After inspection, hygiene and safety are guaranteed. Parents there also have no comments.",Mr. Nguyen Van Thong said and informed that, after inspection, the Department of Education and Training of Nghi Loc district requested the school to review and thoroughly implement to ensure the noon duty at school.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, students in grades 4 and 5 of Nghi Thai Primary School eat from bowls but do not have the funds to buy trays. On October 20, the school bought trays for the students.
