On the morning of May 17, the leader of the Chi Linh City Health Department said that he had proposed to the City People's Committee to request two private kitchens specializing in providing meals for boarding students to stop operating due to not ensuring food safety regulations.
Of the two establishments, one is in An Lac ward owned by Mr. CVT and the other is in Hoang Tan ward owned by Ms. CTT. The kitchens of the two establishments do not meet food safety standards and conditions.
The City Health Department also recommended stopping the cooking and provision of meals for children at the kitchen of An Lac Ward Kindergarten, the kitchen (facility 2) of Chi Minh Ward Kindergarten due to the cramped, degraded facilities, not ensuring the "one-way" process and conditions according to food safety regulations. The Department also reminded the boarding kitchens of many kindergartens to violate regulations such as not providing protective gear for cooking staff, not keeping daily food samples, the area for preliminary processing and processing is still narrow, not training knowledge on food safety for the management team, the staff serving at the boarding kitchen, etc.
Previously, the Chi Linh City Health Department coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect 38 boarding kitchens of 22 kindergartens and 6 establishments providing meals for boarding students under their management.
