Mobile trial of a group of young people in Nam Sach who disturbed public order

According to the indictment, due to disagreements over how to divide the money for karaoke, at around 2:00 p.m. on February 5, 2023, in La Doi village, Hop Tien commune (Nam Sach), Nguyen Khac Truong Hung (born in 2005), Nguyen Nhu Hiep (born in 2003), Nguyen Van Toan (born in 2005), NHĐ. (born in 2006, all residing in Nam Hung commune), Dong Xuan Hung (born in 2000), Tran Van Trung (born in 1999), Tran Van Dung (born in 2005, all residing in Hiep Cat commune, Nam Sach district) used iron pipes, homemade knives and baseball bats to chase and beat 6 other people.

The incident took place at a three-way intersection in Team 10, La Doi village, Hop Tien commune, with many people working in the fields and passersby, causing anger and fear among the people. Mr. Duong Ba C. suffered 3% injuries, Mr. Duong Ba T. suffered 5% injuries.

Mr. T. is a citizen of Hop Tien commune who joined the military service and had to leave for military service on February 6, 2023. Due to his injury, Mr. T. is not in good health to join the army. The incident has negatively affected the security, order, and social safety in the locality.

In this case, Nguyen Khac Truong Hung was the organizer. The defendants Dong Xuan Hung, Tran Van Trung, Tran Van Dung, Nguyen Nhu Hiep, NHĐ., Nguyen Van Toan were accomplices in the role of executors.

Tran Van Trung and Dong Xuan Hung are on the run.

The jury sentenced Nguyen Khac Truong Hung to 20 months in prison, Tran Van Dung to 17 months in prison, Nguyen Nhu Hiep to 27 months in prison, NHĐ. to 13 months in prison with a suspended sentence, and Nguyen Van Toan to 15 months in prison with a suspended sentence, all for disturbing public order.
