The 5th generation Hyundai Santa Fe will have a more square appearance in the style of an off-road SUV.

Hyundai is testing the next generation of the Santa Fe. A prototype of the model has been tested on public roads, showing some differences from the original car.

Meanwhile, the new generation Santa Fe commercial version is still heavily camouflaged. To have a clearer view of the new Hyundai Santa Fe, Kolesa has re-sketched the design of this model based on test car images and the Prototype version.

Accordingly, the next generation Hyundai Santa Fe will no longer have a CUV design, the curves are removed, instead it is a square, boxy body like an off-road SUV. The roof is painted black, creating a feeling of separation from the body. The front LED headlights are square, with an H-shaped pattern. The thin vertical taillights are connected by an LED strip and also have an H-shaped design.

This is not a new design, this light pattern has been applied by Hyundai to some car models, typically the Staria or Stargazer that have just been launched in Vietnam.

The interior of the new Hyundai Santa Fe is still a mystery, but it is likely that the car will have a cabin similar to the newly introduced Hyundai Grandeur, with dual screens spanning the dashboard, and a third sub-screen replacing the function button cluster.

The 5th generation Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to launch in the second half of 2023, as a 2024 model. In Vietnam, Hyundai Santa Fe is the best-selling 7-seat SUV/CUV model since the beginning of the year, with total sales after 9 months of this model reaching 7,705 vehicles, far surpassing competitors such as Ford Everest (3,512 vehicles), Toyota Fortuner (5,697 vehicles), Kia Sorento (3,650 vehicles) or Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (893 vehicles).
