Thai Hoc and Binh Minh communes in Binh Giang district were merged into Thai Minh commune with a natural area of 10.39 km2 and a population of more than 15,800 people.
On the afternoon of November 11, the People's Committee of Binh Giang district held a conference to announce Resolution No. 1250 dated October 24, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Hai Duong province for the period 2023-2025.
According to the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Binh Giang district will merge Thai Hoc and Binh Minh communes into Thai Minh commune. The new commune headquarters will be located in the current Thai Hoc commune. Thai Minh commune has a natural area of 10.39 km2and a population of more than 15,800 people, officially put into operation from December 1, 2024.
Relevant professional agencies prioritize organizing a peak period of converting documents for agencies, organizations and citizens according to regulations within 6 months from December 1.
After the arrangement, Binh Giang district has 15 commune-level administrative units including 14 communes and 1 town.
