Specifically, defender Vu Van Thanh was fined 10 million VND and suspended from playing for 3 matches due to his insulting and uncivilized behavior towards the referee in the match where Quang Nam won 2-0 against Hanoi Police, which took place on the evening of May 8.

In this match, referee Le Vu Linh blew the whistle to penalize Vu Van Thanh after he pulled his opponent, preventing a quick attack. When the referee showed him a yellow card, Vu Van Thanh was upset and used uncontrolled language, causing him to receive a second yellow card, which is equivalent to a red card and disqualification from the match.

Vu Van Thanh was born on April 14, 1996 in Gia Coc village, Tu Cuong commune, Thanh Mien district (Hai Duong). Van Thanh showed his talent for football early on when he was in primary school. In 2007, this player and the Hai Duong province team won the National Children's Football Championship, then became a student of Hoang Anh Gia Lai - Arsenal JMG Football Academy. Van Thanh played for the "mountain town" Football Club in many youth football tournaments, V-League.

Nam Dinh Club was fined 5 million VND for violating the regulations of Vietnamese professional football.

Hai Phong Club was fined 2 million VND because 5 players received yellow cards in the 4-2 win over Khanh Hoa.

Round 18 of V-League 2023 - 2024 will take place on May 12 and 13 with key matches such as Thanh Hoa vs. B.Binh Duong, The Cong - Viettel vs. Binh Dinh.
