Because parents are still worried about teachers, on the morning of September 30, 24/38 students of class 4/3 of Chuong Duong Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) did not come to class.

The homeroom teacher of class 4/3 is Ms. Truong Phuong H., who asked parents for financial support to buy a laptop for herself, causing a stir in public opinion in the past few days.

The head of the parents' representative committee of class 4/3 said that the parents of the class have not received any official information from the school about the temporary suspension of the homeroom teacher as well as the plan to send a replacement teacher for the class. Therefore, the parents are very confused, worried and do not dare to send their children back to school. If there is a substitute teacher, who is it and for how long, the school must specifically notify the parents.

Mr. Le Cong Minh, Principal of Chuong Duong Primary School, said that to ensure that the students' studies are not interrupted, the school has found a qualified guest teacher to teach this class.

The school does not cover up the teacher's wrongdoings in this incident, but only asks parents for time to handle the situation. When there is a decision to suspend Ms. H. from teaching, the school will officially notify parents.

Also on the morning of September 30, Ms. Truong Phuong H., homeroom teacher of class 4/3, met with reporters to share her thoughts about the story that has caused a stir in public opinion over the past few days.

Ms. H. said that she lost her personal laptop in class during the 2022-2023 school year, so last school year she did not have a laptop to use. This school year, class 4/3 has a new TV, so she wants a laptop to connect to the TV, making it easier to teach students. Because the class has a TV but no laptop, the TV is just there, and cannot be used.

To get a laptop, Ms. H. thought of "socializing education", so she asked parents for financial support to buy a laptop. However, when she learned about this, the school principal called her and told her that she could not accept financial support from parents to buy a laptop, and she agreed to comply.

Immediately after receiving the principal's instructions, on September 16, Ms. H. created a poll on the Zalo group of class 4/3 for parents to vote to agree or disagree with supporting money for teachers to buy laptops.

Regarding the reason for creating this poll, Ms. H. explained that it was an excuse to refuse parents' financial support, because if someone had reported it to the school's leadership, there would definitely be parents who disagreed. The poll result showed that 3 parents disagreed and she also decided not to accept the parents' financial support to buy laptops.

Regarding the content of not preparing review outlines for students, Ms. H. affirmed that this is not the teacher's responsibility, and is not because she is angry with parents after supporting them with money to buy laptops for themselves.

At the end of the conversation with reporters, Ms. H. said that she was wrong to solicit support money from parents to buy laptops for herself, because she did not understand the regulations on socializing education.

Previously, at the first parent meeting of the year for students of class 4/3 of Chuong Duong Primary School on the morning of September 14, Ms. H., the homeroom teacher, told the parents in the class that she had just lost her laptop and wanted them to donate money to buy her a laptop. She said the laptop would cost 11 million VND, the parents would donate 6 million VND, and she would pay 5 million VND.
