According to Phu Tho Provincial Police, the director of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site took advantage of his position and assigned functions and duties to violate regulations on the financial management mechanism of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site.
On May 22, Phu Tho Provincial Police announced that the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police had issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case, a decision to prosecute the accused, and an order to temporarily detain Mr. Le Truong Giang, director of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, for abusing his position and power while performing official duties.
According to Phu Tho Provincial Police, the initial investigation determined that Mr. Le Truong Giang took advantage of his position and assigned functions and tasks to violate the regulations on financial management mechanism of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site as prescribed by the People's Committee of Phu Tho Province.
Specifically, Mr. Giang allowed Venus Phu Tho Company Limited, run by Mr. Bui Quoc Huy, Head of the Administrative Organization Department of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, to operate the passenger transport service by electric car at the relic site.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police is continuing to investigate and handle the case according to the provisions of law.
Previously, on May 14, the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police issued an order to temporarily detain a person in an emergency and decided to temporarily detain Mr. Le Truong Giang (54 years old) for the act of abusing his position and power while performing official duties.
According to the leader of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Giang was detained by the police since May 14 to clarify matters related to subordinate officials.
When arrested, Mr. Le Truong Giang was working as Director and Party Secretary of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site under the Party Committee of Phu Tho Province's agencies.
Therefore, the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Tri City Police has sent a document reporting to the People's Committee of Phu Tho province about the law violations of party members for handling according to Party regulations and State laws.
