Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee considers reclaiming nearly 35 hectares of land from Vinamit Joint Stock Company in Ai Quoc and Nam Dong wards.

Previously, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province agreed with the proposal of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment not to extend the use of nearly 35 hectares of land for Vinamit Joint Stock Company. The reason was that the investor had been behind schedule in using the land for more than 30 months since the last time the project schedule was adjusted.

In 2008, Vinamit Joint Stock Company was assigned by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province nearly 35 hectares of land in Ai Quoc and Nam Dong wards (Hai Duong city) to implement a project of a processing factory, a warehouse for preserving vegetables and fruits, and a model for introducing the production process of agricultural products. However, the company did not implement the project for many years even though the province had extended the implementation period many times.
