The gold bar produced by the Emirates Mint (EMF) was awarded the title of the world's largest gold bar by Guinness World Records on November 10 at the Jaffza One Convention Center, Dubai (UAE).

The gold bar weighs 300.12 kg, breaking the record of 250 kg of the gold bar produced by Mitsubishi Materials Corporation (Japan) in 2005.

A 250 kg gold bar produced by Mitsubishi Materials Corporation (Japan) held the record for the world's largest gold bar for 19 years before being broken by a 300.12 kg gold bar in the UAE.

The EMF said the minting of the world's largest gold bar demonstrates the ambition and exceptional craftsmanship of UAE gold refiners, contributing to the success of this year's Dubai Precious Metals Conference.

EMF was founded in 2012 and is located in the Al Quoz Industrial Zone in Dubai. According to the company website, EMF operates a state-of-the-art gold refinery with a capacity of 1,000 to 1,200 kg of gold and silver per day.
