Like Kim Hien, Thu Giang always strives to become an excellent Team Leader. Not only does she perform well in Team activities, Thu Giang's academic achievements are also extremely impressive, such as winning first prize in the English Master Competition for the 2023-2024 school year and ranking 5th in the Provincial English Olympic Competition. In addition, Giang has also won many other medals and awards at chess competitions, Phu Dong Sports Festival, talent competitions, etc.
Although they are excellent students, Hien and Giang are always modest, simple, and united with their friends. They always share knowledge and help weak students who are in difficulty.
Meaningful experiences
Representing Hai Duong children to participate in the National "Dien Bien Young Soldiers" Festival is an honor and pride for both Giang and Hien.
Although the long journey to Dien Bien province was a bit tiring, Kim Hien felt very happy and excited to be immersed in the enthusiastic atmosphere of hundreds of children across the country.
The first time Hien set foot on the heroic land of Dien Bien, joy and honor were the first emotions she felt. Kim Hien shared: “I feel very happy and honored to participate in this festival. Remembering the merits of the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood and bones so that we could live and study in peace, I will always try to be worthy of the previous generation”.
During the 3 days of participating in the festival, Hien made many friends from all over the country. The children were sociable, friendly, and willing to share, giving Hien positive energy. “I will definitely bring these valuable experiences back to tell my friends and relatives about the heroic land of Dien Bien,” Kim Hien confided.
Participating in the "National Young Soldiers of Dien Bien" festival, children offered incense at the Martyrs' Temple at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield, and participated in experiential activities at historical sites such as the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, Hill A1, De Castries' bunker...
In particular, coming to the land of Ban flowers this time, the children were able to participate in the "Xoe dance performance with the largest number of children from 63 provinces and cities participating in the performance to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory in Vietnam".
Visiting the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Headquarters relic site, children met and talked with Mr. Vo Dien Bien, son of General Vo Nguyen Giap, and listened to familiar and authentic stories about the long, arduous but heroic years of resistance of the entire nation to create a brilliant milestone in history.
This was the first time Thu Giang participated in such a grand program, she was very moved when she heard the stories of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the battlefield to gain national independence. "I feel extremely lucky to be born in peacetime and grateful for the contributions of previous generations," Thu Giang said emotionally.
During the days of participating in the festival, Thu Giang was most impressed with the panorama at the Dien Bien Phu History Museum. The panorama of 56 days and nights of fighting is like a magnificent, vivid history of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Looking at the panorama, Giang saw the scene of ethnic people transporting food and provisions to the battlefield to support the resistance, the image of our soldiers pulling artillery into the battlefield, fighting bravely. Especially the image of the flag of determination to fight, determination to win flying on the roof of De Castries' bunker made her really impressed and moved. "Definitely not just once but many more times, I want to return to this heroic land of Dien Bien, I want to share historical knowledge with friends and relatives", Giang said.
The national “Little Soldiers of Dien Bien” Festival will be the beginning of a new journey for you, the young generation, the future owners of the country, with love, patriotism, national pride and deep gratitude for the contributions of previous generations. Meaningful historical stories become the motivation for you to strive, cultivate, train, and contribute with the whole nation to write glorious and heroic pages in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
