Cases of compulsory execution of judgments in Hai Duong increased

On May 14, the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province supervised the implementation of legal policies on civil judgment enforcement in Hai Duong province for the period of 2020-2023 at the Civil Judgment Enforcement Office of Nam Sach district and the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department.

According to the report of the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department, from 2020 to 2023, the number of cases and the amount of money to be enforced in the province have increased over the years. During the period 2020-2023, the enforcement agency issued enforcement decisions in 247 cases. The number of cases requiring enforcement has increased over the years.

For Nam Sach district, in 2023, the number of cases to be resolved is 641, of which the number of newly accepted cases is 545, an increase of 57.5% compared to 2022. The amount to be resolved is more than 20.3 billion VND, of which the amount of newly accepted cases is more than 13.7 billion VND, an increase of 244.9% compared to 2022.

At the meeting, the enforcement agency raised difficulties and obstacles in the enforcement work such as the increasing number of enforcement cases, their complicated nature; the auction of assets related to bank credit is still inadequate, having to reduce prices, auctioning many times but finding no buyers; equipment for enforcement work is still lacking; some district-level Enforcement Offices do not have evidence warehouses...

The enforcement agency requests the National Assembly and competent authorities to promptly complete the legal system on civil enforcement, clearly define the powers of enforcement officers, and create a legal corridor for enforcement officers in performing their duties. Pay attention to investing in equipment and allocating funds to support enforcement activities in the area. Quickly complete investment procedures to build the headquarters of the District Civil Enforcement Office...
