Exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh's Testament - eternal value and vitality"

The exhibition is directed by the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to commemorate the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969-2024) and the 55th anniversary of his death (September 2, 1969 - September 2, 2024).

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed: President Ho Chi Minh has been gone for 55 years, but his great ideological and spiritual legacy still guides the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country to victory. One of those legacies is the historical Testament - the heartfelt words, the humble voice of a communist, imbued with the cultural identity of the nation and the times, with value beyond space and time.

According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, the Will (also known as the "Top Secret" Document) was written by President Ho Chi Minh over a long period of time, from 1965 to 1969, in the stilt house in the Presidential Palace. The earnest, humane instructions in the Will contain the noble ideological and spiritual values ​​of Ho Chi Minh's life, from Ho Chi Minh's life. Not only was he devoted to fighting for national liberation, class liberation and human liberation all his life, President Ho Chi Minh also carried with him the aspiration for an independent, peaceful, unified, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, and a world of eternal happiness for people.

“His words are important and necessary issues that must be addressed to ensure the revolutionary leadership role of a ruling Party, while at the same time leading to the victory of the Vietnamese revolution in the common struggle for national independence and social progress. Those are also the last words of the national liberation hero, great cultural figure, and international soldier who has a heavy heart for the Party, for the people, for the solidarity between fraternal Parties and peoples fighting for justice and peace,” Mr. Ta Quang Dong emphasized.

According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is an opportunity for us to continue to re-read and reflect on his last heartfelt words before he passed away. With deep respect and gratitude to him, the entire Party, people and army actively study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example; strive to build the Party and a clean and strong political system according to his will; promote the strength of national unity and the strength of the times, build an increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic Vietnam.

With more than 200 documents, images and charts selected for display, the exhibition is divided into 3 parts: "Biography and career of President Ho Chi Minh"; "Will - National treasure"; "55 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Will". With rich content, all the documents and images on display have contributed to affirming that President Ho Chi Minh's Will has value and eternal vitality. Over the past 55 years, Ho Chi Minh's thoughts and his Will have always accompanied the nation, illuminating and guiding the entire Party, people and army to always be steadfast and loyal to his revolutionary cause and ideals.

The exhibition helps viewers better understand the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of Vietnam's national liberation, an outstanding cultural figure; better understand the circumstances of birth and the process of writing President Ho Chi Minh's Will; the core content as well as the profound theoretical and practical values ​​in President Ho Chi Minh's Will; along with that is the process of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people implementing his Will over the past 55 years with great achievements, valuable lessons, continuing to be promoted in the new revolutionary period.

That is a lesson about the Party's optimistic spirit and revolutionary scientific mettle; a lesson about solidarity and unity within the Party; a lesson about practicing democracy widely, regularly, and seriously through self-criticism and criticism; a lesson about paying special attention to the young generation, the future owners of the country; a lesson about caring for and constantly improving the people's lives; a lesson about the spirit of dedication to revolutionary ideals...

The organizers said that the exhibition will be open to visitors from August 30 to September 30, 2024. After the exhibition, the display and explanation content will be made into clips and posted on the website of the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, to continue to promote and serve the public's needs in the coming time.
