Book exhibition "Celebrating 55 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament"

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969 - 2024), the 79th anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).

President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is an invaluable historical document of the Vietnamese people. President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts in the Testament have provided fundamental, important orientations, and have illuminated the path for the country's construction and development. At the exhibition at the community library, the exhibition will display and introduce to readers nearly 3,000 books and specialized information by many authors about the life, career, thoughts, and implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament. Some typical publications introduced at the exhibition include: "Ho Chi Minh Heritage Bookcase" with 62 titles (Tre Publishing House); "Innovation - Integration - Development and Party Building and Rectification under the guidance of Ho Chi Minh's Thought" (Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House); 5 national treasure works including "Revolutionary Path", "Prison Diary", "Call for National Resistance", "Call for Compatriots and Soldiers of the Whole Country", "Will" (National Political Publishing House Truth); the book series "Echoes of the Country's Words" (Information and Communication Publishing House)...

Through the book exhibition activities, the Vietnam Publishing Association hopes to contribute to promoting and spreading publications about President Ho Chi Minh, implementing his Testament, promoting the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, and developing a reading culture in the community.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the opening ceremony of the library and community book cafe space The Wiselands - a member unit under the Vietnam Publishing Association - also took place. This is a free community book library space with an initial scale of nearly 5,000 good and quality books, new books introduced directly from publishers and distributors to help readers have close access to books. The special feature of the library system is the combination of activities that form a chain of reading culture development.

Vietnam Publishing Association was established in 2001, is an association assigned by the Party and State; is a social-professional organization of Vietnamese citizens and organizations operating in the publishing, book distribution and reading culture development nationwide. After more than 20 years of establishment and development, Vietnam Publishing Association has always been associated with the implementation of the political tasks of the Party and State, actively contributing to the construction and development of publishing, distribution and reading culture.
