This year's Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam (October) has the theme "Elderly people are promoted and fully cared for".
Cultural activities always help the elderly live happily and healthily.
From now until the end of June, departments, branches and localities will develop and implement specific action plans. Focus on disseminating policies and laws related to the elderly, clarifying advantages, difficulties and challenges in the issue of population aging. Closely review the elderly in difficult circumstances who need help to organize timely support; strengthen the mobilization to build the Care Fund and promote the role of the elderly at all levels; commend the elderly who are good at economics, typical examples of the "Old age, bright example" emulation... Local authorities closely coordinate with the Association of the Elderly at all levels, organizations and families to organize practical activities on the occasion of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Elderly on June 6 and respond to the Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly.
From July to October, continue to maintain propaganda and proactively organize practical activities to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons on October 1. Increase activities to visit and give gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances, those from families with meritorious services, and those with meritorious services; organize cultural exchanges, arts, physical education, sports, health consultation, free medical examination and treatment for the elderly, etc.
These are the contents of the plan to implement the Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam in 2023 issued by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province on May 15.
