The boat carrying Mr. Nguyen Trong Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Truong Commune, Da Lat City (Lam Dong) suddenly had an accident and was swept away by the water while crossing the La Ba River, causing Mr. Binh to fall into the river and go missing.
On the morning of April 6, local authorities coordinated with relatives to arrange the funeral for Mr. Nguyen Trong Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Truong Commune, Da Lat City (Lam Dong), who died in a boat capsizing accident on the afternoon of April 5.
According to initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. on April 5, Mr. Binh and some people were patrolling the forest in Xuan Truong commune, bordering Don Duong district.
While using a homemade boat to cross the La Ba River (in Xuan Truong Commune), an accident suddenly occurred. The boat was swept away by the water and sank, and Mr. Binh fell into the river and went missing. Immediately after the incident, some nearby people organized a dive to search and rescue Mr. Binh but to no avail.
Upon receiving the news, rescue forces of Lam Dong Provincial Police were present and deployed to search for the victim.
At 6 p.m. the same day, Mr. Nguyen Trong Binh's body was found at the La Ba River bordering Don Duong district. The victim's body was then handed over to his family for burial.
The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
