On April 24, Hai Duong province launched Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Luu Van Ban, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels of trade unions, workers, laborers, and enterprises of Hai Duong to well implement the theme of this year's Workers' Month, which is "Worker Solidarity - Implementing the Resolution", and the theme of the Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene, which is "Strengthening the assurance of occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace and in the supply chain".
Localities, units and enterprises actively promote occupational safety and hygiene for workers and laborers; pay attention to taking care of workers' health, limiting occupational accidents and diseases. Launch emulation movements, promote mass movements to do occupational safety and hygiene work, contributing to building a safe working environment.
Also in the peak month of organizing activities for workers and laborers, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Luu Van Ban, hopes that trade unions at all levels will continue to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Enterprises will pay more attention to the lives of workers and ensure welfare regimes according to the provisions of law.
During Workers' Month, trade unions at all levels continue to actively honor outstanding union members and workers. Each program and activity needs to create highlights that bring warm and happy feelings to union members and workers across the province; strengthen connections, introductions, and create job and vocational training opportunities to ensure sustainable employment and income for union members and workers. Localities organize meetings and dialogues between government and business leaders with union officials and workers, civil servants, and laborers. Trade unions consult with business owners to organize "Thank workers" activities; honor and commend outstanding workers, civil servants, and laborers in the emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers"...
On this occasion, 2 collectives and 2 individuals of Hai Duong were awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; 5 collectives and 7 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Department of Labor Safety for their outstanding achievements in labor safety work in 2023.
The Provincial Federation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 95 workers with outstanding achievements in the movement of researching and applying science and technology, promoting labor productivity. In addition, the Labor Safety and Hygiene Council and the Provincial Federation of Labor presented many gifts to workers in difficult circumstances who suffered from work-related accidents and occupational diseases.
