Over 200 athletes participate in the International Badminton Tournament in Ninh Binh

The tournament is organized by the province in coordination with the Vietnam Badminton Federation.

The tournament attracted 218 athletes from 14 countries and territories including: Australia, Brunei, China, Taipei (China), France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and host team Vietnam.

According to the Organizing Committee, this is a level 2 international tournament of the Badminton World Federation with the participation of many high-ranking badminton players on the current world badminton rankings, promising to bring Ninh Binh audiences many top-notch and exciting matches. This year, the Vietnamese delegation has the largest number of 78 athletes, including 51 men and 27 women. This is an opportunity for Vietnamese athletes to increase exchanges, compete, improve their skills and competition experience.

This is the first time the "FELET Vietnam International Series 2023" Badminton Tournament has been held in Ninh Binh. However, the local Organizing Committee has made careful preparations in many aspects, ensuring maximum competition conditions for athletes. The tournament is one of the activities in the 2nd Ninh Binh Festival program in 2023; celebrating the 1055th anniversary of Dai Co Viet State (968 - 2023); at the same time, it is an opportunity to promote and introduce the potential, socio-economic strengths and scenic spots, historical and cultural relics of the locality to domestic and international friends. Thereby, contributing to promoting the development of the physical training and sports movement in general and the badminton movement of Ninh Binh province in particular, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people in the province.

The tournament runs until November 12.
