Nguyen Thanh Tu, Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law, has just been appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.
On March 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu, Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law, Ministry of Justice, as Deputy Minister of this ministry.
The new Deputy Minister of Justice is 47 years old this year, from Quang Binh; has a doctorate in law and a bachelor's degree in economics. He was recruited from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law to the Ministry of Justice in 2011 and was appointed Deputy Head of the International Law Department.
Four years later, he became Deputy Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law, then was assigned as Acting Director of the Department and has held the position of Director of the Department until now.
The Ministry of Justice is a Government agency, performing the function of state management of law making; organization of law enforcement; civil judgment enforcement; judicial administration; judicial support; legal work; state management of public career services in the fields under the state management scope of the Ministry.
Currently, the Minister of Justice is Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, the 5 Deputy Ministers are Ms. Dang Hoang Oanh and Messrs. Nguyen Thanh Tinh, Mai Luong Khoi, Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Nguyen Thanh Tu.
