With the theme of 2023 "Pioneering Imprint", on the evening of December 11, at Ho Guom Theater, the Gala Awards Night took place to honor outstanding projects, ideas, and pioneering imprints on a challenging but meaningful journey.

The "Human Act Prize" is an annual award honoring individuals and organizations that have made positive contributions to society through prestigious community initiatives and projects that bring long-term and sustainable results.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Award Organizing Committee said: The Community Action Award initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper aims to find pioneering units and individuals who dare to take the first steps on a journey full of difficulties and challenges.

“Among the nearly 130 entries sent to us, there are many individuals, organizations and units that have quietly started their journeys decades ago. They have been working, testing and adjusting, and struggling to find ways to improve their programs/projects to become more systematic and professional in order to create stronger impacts, thereby bringing many changes to a region, or simply helping individual lives. Their concerns, steadfast belief and enthusiasm are endless inspiration for us - the organizers of the award,” Mr. Le Quoc Minh emphasized.

The Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Community Action Award not only seeks timely support projects, projects that can spread and inspire widely, but the organizers also find pioneering units that dare to take the first steps to find a development model towards sustainability, creating a change in the face of an entire region, of an economic sector. Even further, they have put Vietnam’s name on the world’s sustainable development map and become a model for many other countries to follow.

“These first steps will open a new journey, because if there are pioneers, there will certainly be followers. To move towards sustainable development for the whole society, we need the cooperation of many people, many organizations, many businesses. And we hope that the values ​​that the Community Action Award is trying to promote will inspire the whole society to participate. Any action for the community, big or small, will contribute to the greater goal that we all desire - a quality and sustainable life for the whole society. Do not hesitate to do good deeds, and do not hesitate to spread good stories in life,” emphasized the Head of the Award Organizing Committee.

According to the Organizing Committee, to ensure the transparency of the award, all participating projects must go through a rigorous application process, including the requirement to provide detailed content and documents. Right from the preliminary round, reporters also directly met and made many field trips to learn about the projects, recounting to the community the stories, methods and models of each project, as well as the values ​​that the community benefits from these projects.

From the 35 finalist projects, the Jury selected the best projects to award. The Human Act Prize categories are evaluated based on criteria that ensure impact, sustainability, commitment, creativity and outreach in the community.

Specifically: The categories of the Human Act Prize 2023 of Nhan Dan Newspaper with the theme "Pioneering Mark" include: The category "Ideas for the Community" honors projects with feasible implementation ideas, contributing to promoting the community in a more positive and sustainable direction.

The Project category honors breakthrough community projects that solve urgent social problems, including: Timely Project honors initiatives that effectively respond to urgent problems and the spirit of willingness to commit to the community; Prospective Project honors projects that have the potential to develop quickly and widely in the future; Enduring Project honors admirable efforts to maintain and develop long-term impacts for the community; Inspirational Project honors community activities with high humanity, the ability to spread and replicate, activating the great strength of the community; Sustainable Project honors scientifically built initiatives that bring profound and outstanding long-term impacts to the community.

In particular, the landmark Human Act Prize category will be presented to honor actions that make positive and sustainable contributions to the community.

Before the Gala Awards Night, more than 90 press agencies from central to local levels had accompanied the Award to spread the values ​​that the Human Act Prize sought through more than 900 articles, 50 television news reports, more than 350 articles on social media channels, reaching more than 4 million readers on multiple media platforms.

Not only honoring and spreading, the Human Act Prize of Nhan Dan Newspaper also accompanies, guides and connects all individuals and groups who have, are and will carry the responsibility for the community on their journey with the goal of creating all community activities in Vietnam in a transparent, scientific, effective and humane manner.

Accordingly, valuable initiatives and ideas for the community and practical lessons on project models have been stored in the Community Initiative Library so that all interested people who do not know how to do it or do not have ideas can refer to and learn.

Within the framework of the award, for the first time, an exhibition on Community Action was held. The exhibition contributed to bringing the journey of pioneers in community action closer to the public through shared stories and direct experiential activities when visitors had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on recycling scraps of fabric with people with disabilities, a workshop on painting on straw paper, and a performance of the Puppetry of Resistance Dolls...

The Human Act Prize is organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, under the direction of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the coordination of VCCorp Joint Stock Company.

The Human Act Prize 2023 categories with the theme “Pioneering Marks” include:

1. The Community Ideas category honors projects with feasible implementation ideas that contribute to promoting the community in a more positive and sustainable direction.

2. The Project category honors groundbreaking community projects that solve urgent social problems, including:

The Timely Project honors effective initiatives that respond to urgent issues and a spirit of commitment to the community;

The Promising Project honors projects that have the potential to grow rapidly and widely in the future;

The Persistence Project honors admirable efforts to sustain and grow long-term impact for the community;

The Inspiration Project honors community activities with high humanity, the ability to spread and replicate, activating the great strength of the community; the Sustainability Project honors scientifically built initiatives, bringing about profound and outstanding long-term impacts to the community.
