On the morning of August 22, in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper officially announced the Human Act Prize.

This is an annual national award to honor and promote community projects, and to recognize organizations, businesses, and individuals who are making efforts to contribute to society.
The award is organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, with the participation of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the coordination of VCCorp Joint Stock Company.
Special award to honor community projects
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of the award, said that the world is experiencing the combined impacts of unprecedented levels and scales of pandemics, climate change and depletion of natural resources, and declining economic growth on a global scale. However, the difficulties and challenges also help us see more clearly the importance of protecting the living environment, harmoniously resolving the urgent need for economic recovery with the requirements of green development and sustainable development towards a better future.
He affirmed that our Party and State always emphasize the importance of sustainable development in the process of national development and pay special attention to putting people at the center of sustainable development. To successfully implement these goals, it is necessary to mobilize all social resources, strengthen coordination between ministries, branches, localities, agencies, organizations, unions, enterprises and each individual.
With the spirit of overcoming difficulties, being proactive, creative and the tradition of “mutual love”, in recent times, thousands of organizations, businesses and individuals have invested and built projects for the community in many fields, in all regions of the country. The awareness and responsibility of the people in building a sustainable lifestyle are resonating together to create a more balanced society.

With the theme “Pioneering Imprint”, the 2023 Community Action Award will honor organizations, businesses and individuals who do not hesitate to take steps to contribute to the community, taking the first steps on a challenging journey, despite all difficulties, steadfast in human values and belief in sustainable development. The Human Act Prize will build an ecosystem of many creative and pioneering activities appearing for the first time in Vietnam, such as: Community Initiative Library, Community Action Exhibition, The first comprehensive documentary film about community activities in Vietnam...
The above activities aim to provide organizations, businesses and individuals with the opportunity to connect, learn and exchange on how to effectively implement CSR activities. Their contributions and efforts to the community are also widely spread through a series of activities within the framework of the award. “Organizations, businesses and individuals with outstanding community initiatives, please contact the Organizing Committee to submit applications to participate in the award, together promoting sustainable development in Vietnam. We also hope that press and media agencies will join hands to create extended arms to expand the influence of the Human Act Prize, so that the good values of the award can spread more deeply in society”, emphasized comrade Le Quoc Minh. The underprivileged benefit most from the awards At the event, Ms. Dang Thi Thuong, Director of the Human Act Prize project, said that the belief in the strong shift of society towards sustainable values is the driving force behind the formation of the Human Act Prize. "The people who benefit the most from the Human Act Prize are ordinary people, the disadvantaged in society," Ms. Dang Thi Thuong emphasized.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Ms. Tran Mai Anh, representative of the Jury of the Human Act Prize, said that the Human Act Prize is an annual award honoring organizations and individuals who have made many contributions to the community through prestigious, dedicated and long-term social projects. The Jury and Preliminary Committee of the Award includes the Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Head of the Jury; representatives from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology; representatives from major domestic and international organizations with prestige and expertise in community activities and sustainable development; figures with great contributions to the community, influence and recognition by the community.
“Not only to honor and spread, the Human Act Prize was born to accompany, guide and connect all individuals and groups who have, are and will carry the responsibility for the community” in their journey. So that all community activities in Vietnam are created transparently, scientifically, effectively and humanely", the representative of the Organizing Committee informed.
Regarding mission and goals, Human Act Prize sets out 4 main tasks, including: Honoring, spreading, orienting and connecting. Specifically: First, honor organizations/businesses that have been making efforts for community development. Second, spread and inspire the next generation of society by explaining the projects, including the ideas, how they work, their positive impacts on society, and promoting them in the media. Third, orientation: building humane stories, affirming the positive, scientific and methodical nature of CSR activities/community projects. Directing the community to meaningful activities and raising awareness of CSR activities and Sustainable Development. Fourth, connection: Build platforms to connect projects/organizations with resources with projects/individuals lacking resources. Through communication activities and events, bring resources from those who have to those who need them.
