APHEDA organization provides 1.6 billion VND in aid to promote gender equality and enhance the role of female elected representatives in Tu Ky and Binh Giang.

APHEDA has many activities to enhance capacity and promote gender equality for female elected representatives in Hai Duong province.

The provincial People's Committee has just received a non-refundable aid to implement the project "Promoting gender equality - Strengthening the role of elected female representatives in politics" funded by APHEDA, an Australian organization operating in the fields of health, education and overseas development.

The project will provide nearly 1.6 billion VND in aid to the two districts of Binh Giang and Tu Ky. The aid will be used to support activities to train knowledge and skills for female deputies of the People's Council at the commune level for the 2021-2026 term; organize monthly and quarterly meetings of the network of female deputies of the People's Council at the commune level; share and exchange experiences between the coordination group and key female deputies of the People's Council at the commune level... Thereby contributing to improving the capacity of female deputies of the People's Council.

The project implementation period is until September 2026. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the 8/3 Employment Service Center (Provincial Women's Union) to receive the aid to carry out activities according to regulations.

In 2022, APHEDA provided funding to these two districts to carry out the above activities. In addition, a number of other district-level units also received support from the organization.
