On December 18, Thong Nhat Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Block CC5 social housing project - Apartment complex serving workers.
According to Thong Nhat Joint Stock Company, Block CC5 was started construction with a scale of 98 apartments with a value of nearly 30 billion VND to serve workers and low-income workers. This is an apartment block belonging to the Housing Development Project in the Bau Xeo Industrial Park Service Center with a total area of over 2,000 hectares with a scale of 624 apartments, including 6 blocks, currently completed construction and put into use 1 block with a scale of 107 apartments.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung, General Director of Thong Nhat Joint Stock Company, said that currently, the demand for housing in Dong Nai province is very large while the ability to buy a house to stabilize life for many workers is still difficult, especially those with low income. The social housing project was designed and built by the company for low-income workers, the apartments are deployed reasonably with the help of new construction technology, ensuring optimal flexibility in the process of use. The project has full surrounding amenities but low construction costs, very suitable for the needs of the majority of workers.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung, when the social housing project is completed and put into use, it will solve the housing needs of thousands of workers living and working in Trang Bom district. This is a project of special significance, affirming the companionship and sustainable development of Thong Nhat Joint Stock Company with the common development of Trang Bom district and Dong Nai province.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Acting Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requested the investor, construction unit, design consultant, supervision consultant and related units to comply with regulations on investment and construction procedures, ensure the progress and quality of the project; ensure labor safety and environmental sanitation to minimize the impact on production and business activities as well as the living environment of people and businesses in the area; continue to complete procedures to soon complete the construction of the remaining blocks.
The Acting Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requested the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of Trang Bom District to continue to closely direct the implementation of investment policy documents and deploy other projects in the district to achieve the goal of Trang Bom District building 2,000 social housing units by 2025 according to the district's set goals, contributing to the completion of the goal of Dong Nai Province building 10,000 units by 2025, and at least 50,000 social housing units by 2030 according to the goals of the Resolution of the Party Executive Committee and the Resolution of the People's Council of Dong Nai Province.
Dong Nai province has set a target of building 10,000 social housing units in the 2021-2025 period, but so far only more than 950 units have been built. It is expected that in 2024, there will be more than 700 social housing units.
