Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyen, Vice Principal of Sao Do University, was recognized as Principal of Sao Do University (Chi Linh, Hai Duong).
On the afternoon of May 2, Sao Do University held an announcement ceremony to recognize the Rector of Sao Do University for the 2020-2025 term.
Attending the event were: Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung, Secretary of Chi Linh City Party Committee Hoang Quoc Thuong.
At the conference, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan presented the decision to recognize comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyen, Vice Rector of Sao Do University, to hold the position of Rector of Sao Do University for the period 2024-2025 of the term of the Sao Do University Council 2020-2025. The decision takes effect from May 1, 2024.
Comrade Dinh Van Nhuong, Party Secretary and Principal of the school, retired according to regulations.
In his speech assigning tasks, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan requested that in the coming time, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyen and the school's leadership continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, closely following the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Education and Training, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province and the development strategy of the unit. The school needs to continue researching and innovating the governance model to ensure efficiency; focusing on research, international cooperation, and innovating teaching and learning methods to suit the practical needs of society.
The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade thanked the attention and coordination of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Hai Duong province, Chi Linh City Party Committee and local agencies, departments and branches in the past time for creating favorable conditions for the school to successfully complete its assigned tasks. He hoped that the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Hai Duong province, Chi Linh City Party Committee, relevant agencies and units would continue to pay attention and support policies and mechanisms to help the school develop more and more sustainably.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyen was born in 1974, from Quyet Thang commune (Hai Duong city), has a doctorate in political economics and advanced political theory. She has worked at the school for many years as a teacher, lecturer, and manager of specialized departments and faculties from Sao Do Industrial College and now Sao Do University.
Sao Do University (formerly Sao Do Industrial College) is a public service unit under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, established under Decision No. 376/QD-TTg dated March 24, 2010 of the Prime Minister, operating under the Law on Higher Education and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education. The functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Sao Do University are implemented according to Decision No. 2382/QD-BCT dated September 8, 2020 and No. 1124/QD-BCT dated April 1, 2021 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
