In the first 6 months of 2024, Hai Duong Market Management Department inspected 283 cases, handled 257 cases of goods violations, a decrease of 48 inspections and 29 handlings compared to the same period in 2023.
The violations were mainly related to counterfeit goods, price violations, and food safety and hygiene. Authorities have imposed administrative fines of more than VND 1.7 billion, and the total amount of confiscated goods sold was nearly VND 2.5 billion, both up more than 60% compared to the same period in 2023.
According to the assessment of the Hai Duong Market Management Department, violations of trading in counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin in the province are still complicated. The use of social networks and express delivery services to trade in infringing goods tends to increase, causing many difficulties for functional forces in inspecting and handling violations.
