Heartbreaking: 2 child drowning cases in 3 days in Thanh Ha

During hot weather, many students in Thanh Ha (Hai Duong) went swimming in the river, leading to tragic drowning incidents.

According to the leader of Thanh Quang Commune People's Committee (Thanh Ha), at around 1:20 p.m. on April 2, students Đ.HM, P.Đ.C. (all born in 2009), PVA (born in 2008), N.Đ.C. (born in 2009, all students of Thanh Quang Secondary School) invited each other to go to Gua River in Linh Hoang village to bathe. N.Đ.C. went down to bathe first. Not seeing his friend come up, the remaining students shouted and looked for someone to come help. The Thanh Ha District Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, Thanh Quang Commune Police, and Kenh Dong Station under the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police) searched for N.Đ.C.

C.'s body was found (photo provided by Thanh Ha District Police) in the afternoon of the same day.

At 3:50 p.m. the same day, authorities found C's body.

Previously, at around 3:30 p.m. on March 31, N.D.C., D.D.Q. and N.D.H. (all born in 2010, in Tan Viet commune) went swimming together at Ba Nha culvert, Cam Lo village (Tan Viet commune), when H. drowned.

At about 4:30 p.m., authorities found H's body.
