The incident occurred at around 5:25 p.m. on July 19 in Nho Lam village. The victim was LHH (born in 2020). That afternoon, because his mother had not returned home from work, H. was picked up by relatives to visit his grandparents. While at home with his uncle, H. went to the pond to play and unfortunately drowned.
Previously, on July 14, in Gia Loc village (Van To commune), a tragic drowning incident occurred in a family pond, causing the death of a 3-year-old boy.
